The Psalms often bring me comfort and remind me to trust Him. In parentheses below I added deeper explanation for some of the words from the Hebrew, using the Strongs Concordance. I hope it will minister to you.
The Lord looks (to regard with pleasure, favor or care) from heaven, He sees all the sons of men. From His dwelling place, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth. He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works.
The king is not saved by a mighty army; A warrior is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a false hope for victory; Nor does it deliver anyone by its great strength.
Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear (reverence) Him, On those who hope (stay, tarry, trust, wait) for His lovingkindness (mercy, favor, goodness), to deliver (defend, preserve, rescue) their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.
Our soul waits (adheres to, awaits) for the Lord; He is our help (aid, to protect or surround) and our shield (protector, defense).
For our heart rejoices (is glad, joyful) in Him, because we trust (are confident, sure, careless/carefree) in His holy name.
Let Your lovingkindness (mercy, favor, kindness, goodness), O Lord, be upon us, According as we have hoped (stay, tarry, trust, wait) in You.”
